about

Hi, I am Stephan

I was born in Germany where I grew up and studied business and computer science. I moved to London in September 2001.

After working in software and financial services for quite a while I started training and working as a screen actor.

I have trained screen acting with Khaos Europe (then called Outer Gaea Company) and Meisner Technique with Alex Marx.

I love playing characters that are a bit on the edge, going through a breakdown, are conflicted, not easy to read, mysterious or in a mess in a way. I like playing villains, too.

I enjoy acting in drama, comedy, sci-fi, horror. I love conflict in stories.

I am much more easy-going than the characters I usually play.

I love music; calling my musical taste eclectic is an understatement. I used to play bass guitar

My taste in film is eclectic. You can often find me watching films at the British Film Institute on London’s Southbank. I am a patron of the British Film Institute.

In 2019/20 I had my first experience with theatre. I produced the play Antigona for Khaos Europe, an independent international theatre company based in London, Miami and Central Europe. The play had a cast of 6 different nationalities.

Antigona was produced both in the UK and Slovenia, premiering in the second largest drama theatre in Slovenia (Mestno gledališče ljubljansko).

I also have done a bit of work as AD and line producer in short films.
